The elevator’s hydraulic valve is where the motion profile is set, which is a fancy way of saying this component makes the elevator run smoothly, efficiently and safely when delivering its payload. Without properly setting this valve, the elevator would either run too fast or too slow without easing into starting and stopping.
We always encourage buildings to replace their valves on a regular basis when there are signs of wear so we can have safe and reliably running elevators. Some of our trusted vendor partners have valve exchange programs where we can replace like for like for a fraction of the cost. Our sales reps would be more than happy to discuss details if this is an option you’re considering.
