January 17, 2022 – We are proud to announce that Colley Elevator was recently selected to install 3 new hydraulic elevators for the Chicago Public School (CPS) system. Working with construction partners George Sollitt Construction Co. – Wood Dale, IL and Burling Builders – Chicago, IL, the project will increase accessibility at 2 of the district’s schools.
As the third largest school system in the United States, CPS is looking to standardize the elevators at its facilities. This project will provide new equipment for Belmont-Cragin Elementary School and Wendell Phillips Academy High School.
To supply the highest standard of materials, we will be working with preferred partners Minnesota Elevator and Canton Elevator on the new construction packages. The hydraulic elevators will feature Motion Control Engineering nonproprietary elevator controls, Innovation Industry fixtures, GAL door equipment and Maxton hydraulic control valves.
As we continue to expand throughout the Chicagoland area, we strive to be the preferred service provider in the low- to mid-rise maintenance and modernization categories. We maintain and service more than 2000 elevators in our portfolio; more than 100 of which are under contract at academic institutions. The project at Chicago Public Schools continues our long history of servicing local educational institutions with both modernization and new installation packages as well as long-term maintenance contracts.
